What can you do to help?

We recognize and celebrate the fact that each person has unique talents and resources.  You can bring your talents and resources to bear in a variety of ways.  Here are a few suggestions:

1.  Talk to parents of children about the Arts and their perceptions of Arts Education in their schools.

2.  If you have children in school, talk to them about their experiences with art, music and drama classes.

3.  Talk to the music, art and drama teachers in your schools.  Ask what they need.  Their answers may surprise you - funding may not always be the primary need.

4.  Contact us regarding volunteer opportunities.  We will have an ongoing schedule of events that will provide opportunities to be involved in the Arts firsthand and witness the impact that the Arts can have on people.

5.  If you are an Artist, consider becoming involved with Artists Alive, Inc.  We are looking for fellow Musicians and Artists to help us promote our message.  Help us to grow your passion through sharing it with our youth.  You will be giving a gift to future generations.

6.  Donate.  None of this work can be done without funding.  While we are non-profit, we certainly incur expenses related to the activities that we create.  Providing scholarships, workshops, supplemental funding and events costs money.  We simply cannot operate without it.  We're confident that our message is strong and that it will resonate with many people.  If you can, please donate to the cause.  Donate here.

7.  Attend our events and encourage your friends and family to come too.  Make it memorable by creating an evening around it.  Enjoy and appreciate the talents of others and how they can enrich your life.
“It is in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough—it’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our heart sing.”
–Steve Jobs, in introducing the iPad 2 in 2011
“GE hires a lot of engineers. We want young people who can do more than add up a string of numbers and write a coherent sentence. They must be able to solve problems, communicate ideas and be sensitive to the world around them. Participation in the arts is one of the best ways to develop these abilities.”

– Clifford V. Smith, President of the General Electric Foundation
